Oldham Engineering Installations are delighted to announce that they have completed the mechanical installation of a new Truxorter System for Vanderlande at DPD, West London.

The project started on Tuesday 3rd May 2016 and was completed within 3 weeks, using a team of 9 engineers at peak times in the programme. OEI had a 24-hour presence on site during the break-in works and standby nightshift cover to ensure minimal disruption to DPD during the system upgrade.

As a result of this successful removal and installation project at DPD West London, OEI have secured several more contracts with Vanderlande for system upgrades at various sites across the UK. Due to the majority of the DPD projects being almost identical in size and duration, OEI have organised a set installation team who are dedicated to Vanderlande contracts. This ensures that there is continuity on site and that all projects run smoothly and efficiently.

The conveyor types, which were installed as part of this project, include but are not limited to the following:

  • • 60 metres of Truxorter & Safety Netting.
  • • Chutes.
  • • Belt Curves & Merges.
  • • Induct / Transport Belts (Horizontals, Inclines & Declines).
  • • Roller Curves & Junctions.

Oldham Engineering Installations have worked with Vanderlande completing new successful system installations for DPD/ Geopost since 2011. OEI always provide first-class workmanship and the on-going success of these installations, shows that our client has confidence in the professionalism of our engineers. This has helped build our strong, long-term relationship with Vanderlande and we look forward to working alongside them on the upcoming projects.
