Royal Mail – Preston, Greenford and Glasgow
OEI were employed to install a system of primary and secondary sorting conveyors over three interlinking levels within 3 of 7 new Royal Mail distribution centres, all commissioned in 2007.
Also as part of these contracts, OEI installed the chutes coming off the sorting conveyors and the pipe work for the pneumatic equipment. Using this system, Royal Mail could sort the post into postcodes and areas ready to be sent to the relevant post offices for delivery.
The 3 sites ran simultaneously and were a success for all involved.
