Oldham Engineering Installations are looking to recruit multi-skilled mechanical installation Erectors / Fitters to work on sites across the UK. Candidates will be required to work away from home on a regular basis. There will be plenty of hours on offer for Mechanical Engineers who are flexible to work both weekdays and weekends. We have immediate starts available.
The Mechanical Engineer Vacancies are site based and will involve the mechanical installation, modification or removal of a number of conveyor types such as; ASRS Conveyors, Automotive Conveyors, Baggage Handling Conveyors, Pallet Conveyors, Parcel & Flyer Conveyors, Pneumatic Conveyors, Recycling Conveyors, Tote & Carton Conveyors.
We are looking for candidates that are apprentice trained, time served or have a minimum city guilds in Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred skills & abilities;
• Ability to organise and prioritise workloads.
• Good attention to detail.
• Flexible with the ability to work under pressure.
• Must be a proactive team player, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• General mechanical assembly, pipe fitting stainless steel pipework, pneumatic and hydraulic fitting, basic machining, metal cutting, drilling, tapping, use of hand tools, maintaining a safe, clean and efficient work space, working at heights and working in confined spaces.
You must hold either a CSCS Card or a CCSNG Safety passport. Other qualifications such as Forklift / Telehandler / Reach Truck license, Rigger and Slinger Training, MEWPS, PASMA and IPAF will be useful. Having a full UK driving license would be highly beneficial to this role.
Hourly Rate: Negotiable dependent on qualifications and experience.
Optional work place pensions are currently available, subject to successful completion of a trial working period.
