OEI Working with Dematic Ltd. at Screwfix Direct, Trentham Lakes

Oldham Engineering Installations are delighted to announce that they have been awarded a mechanical installation contract from Dematic Ltd. for the Screwfix Direct, Trentham Lakes – Pick Tower Extension Project.

The project started on Tuesday 21st April 2015 and will be running consistently for 18 weeks, ~87 days on site. During this time OEI will be completing the installation of the Pick Tower Extension Project, using a team of 22 engineers at peak times in the programme.

Screwfix Direct, Trentham Lakes is an exciting project for OEI, as they are installing Dematic America’s Modular Conveyor System (MCS) for the first time, as opposed to the traditional pre-assembled sections of the BK10 Conveyor Systems.

The conveyor types to be installed as part of the Screwfix Direct, Trentham Lakes – Pick Tower Extension Project include but are not limited to the following:

• Roller & Belt Conveyors.
• Accumulation Conveyors.
• Curves & Junctions.
• Diverts & Merges.

Oldham Engineering Installations pride themselves on offering their customers on-going support. They have recently completed a costing exercise for Dematic Ltd. highlighting the differences between the new Modular Conveyor System and the original BK10 Conveyor System, when considering installation duration and cost.
